Brisbane Slowly Made Locals
That time that…
you walked into a little shop in Paddington and were hit with the scent of handmade soaps, creative energy, and the friendly faces behind Brisbane’s slow-made community.
This illustration is a tribute to Slowly Made Locals, a shop collective built by makers like Bec English Ceramics, etc Body, by cath, Paper Hands, Ukiyo Boutique, Clive Street AU, Shut Up And Relax, Claire Ritchie, Thompson Lane and more. It wasn’t just a shop, but a shared space filled with stories, connections and creativity.
When Bec (of @becenglish_ceramics) asked me to capture it before the doors closed, I knew I wasn’t just drawing a building. I was drawing a lot of memories. And now you can bring a piece of that memory home, too.
This print celebrates handmade art, community spirit, and that rare feeling of being part of something meaningful.
Perfect for: Brisbane locals, lovers of slow-made goods, and anyone who values creative community.
